I have always been drawn to the water—the stillness of calm seas, where the journey feels effortless under breathtaking sunsets, and the thrill of open oceans, where waves rise and fall, carrying travelers into the unknown. The sea is ever-changing, just as life and marriage are, yet one thing remains constant: the presence of a guiding light.
For centuries, lighthouses have stood unwavering on rocky shores, their beams piercing through darkness. They do not fight against the storm or change the tides—they simply shine, revealing both the dangers ahead and the way home.
Marriage, too, is a journey through ever-shifting waters. At times, it is smooth sailing, filled with joy and companionship. Other times, it is marked by trials—financial strain, family pressures, or unmet expectations—where couples may feel lost, struggling to stay afloat. Yet, just as the lighthouse does not demand a ship to find its own way, we are not called to navigate marriage through sheer effort or willpower. Christ Himself is the light within us, illuminating the path, steadying us through every storm.
At Three Strands Ministry, we don’t teach couples to “fix” their marriages through human striving. Instead, we help them rest in the truth that Christ in them is their source of love, unity, and endurance. Whether facing the waves of miscommunication, resentment, or unmet desires, our role is to remind couples that they are not alone—His life within them is more than enough. Our trained marriage coaches stand as a beacon, pointing couples away from the pitfalls of self-reliance and toward the fullness of Christ’s life, where grace, passion, and peace are freely given.
We invite you to journey with us as we offer courses, workshops, and retreats. Even those sailing smooth waters can prepare for the inevitable storms, and for those already caught in rough seas, these courses and workshops—combined with the support of trained marriage coaches—will help guide you back to the calm waters of a Christ-centered marriage.

We do this through:

- Provide a “life expressed” perspective of marriage.
- Help couples understand the purposes of marriage.
- Assist couples set realistic expectations of marriage.
- Premarital coaching/discipleship for marriage preparation.
- Coaching for improved marital relationships and early intervention when problems arise.
- Referrals for professional counseling, as needed.
- Retreats for recreation and intense study.
- Special events that celebrate the beauty and blessing of marriage.
We Believe:
We believe every couple has a unique kingdom purpose—one that evolves throughout different seasons of life. In the early years of marriage, your ministry may simply be learning to love and serve your spouse well. As time goes on, it may include raising children, serving in missions, evangelism, teaching, ministering within the Church, or even acts of kindness like mowing your neighbor’s yard.
One thing remains certain: whatever God has planned for your marriage, there is an enemy determined to oppose it. Time and again, we’ve seen marriages come under attack as a means of undermining a person’s calling and purpose.
Our ministry exists to strengthen your marriage—so that your purpose remains strong. We help couples view their marriage through the lens of Christ, understand the power that sustains their union, and recognize they are not alone in the battle.
