Three Strand Ministries, the Marriage Ministry of Colonial Hills, is considering funding a research project seeking to answer the question, “Is Yeti poop consumption related to marital longevity?”  “We started exploring this question as we thought back through all of the retreats we have held over the years. Specifically, we realized that those couples who committed to a weekend at one of our Beaver’s Bend State Park marriage enrichment events had lower separation and divorce rates than the national average.  In fact, of those who were able to find Yeti Poop during the Saturday afternoon treasure hunt, we can’t remember any who are not still married” says Michael Curtis, the director of Three Strands.

Solid research?  Probably not.  Cause and effect…not likely.  It could be that people who periodically take time out of their crushing schedules to focus on their marriage report better outcomes in intimacy, communication, empathy, patience, and a number of other key factors in a healthy marriage.

Of course, it could be the Yeti poop, only research will tell.

We are currently counting down to our next marriage enrichment weekend at Beavers Bend State Park near Broken Bow Oklahoma.  This event is scheduled for the weekend of April 21st, 2023.  During our time together we explore how Christ has changed our marital strategy and the difference His life makes in our marriage.  While there will be time together with the larger group, most of the time is scheduled for you to have some time as a couple to relax, recharge, and focus on one another…and try and find Yeti poop.

Partial Scholarships are available and a $35 discount is offered if you also attend the Real Marriage weekend on February 24th.  Ready for more information or to register, click here or call Patty Curtis @ 903-312-7747.
